This blog discusses on all kinds of phenomena of (road) traffic. It is written by Kosti, a Finnish guy who lives in Jyväskylä, Finland. Lately, my focus has been on cycling, because I’m a big fan of cycling and mountain biking. I also commute with a bicycle, so the range of topics on this blog is quite wide. Nevertheless, I’m also interested in cars and other forms of traffic and sometimes I blog about them, too.
One of my ambitious goals is to make Finland (and Jyväskylä) a better place for cycling. In recent years cycling has improved its position as a form of traffic in Finland, but there’s still so much to do. I like to comment new traffic plans or criticize existing structures if they aren’t good for cycling. My motto is to promote cycling with other means of traffic in mind. That is, I’m not demanding a total ban of cars, but insted better structures and conditions for bikes, pedestrians and cars as well. My work may not be loud and massive, but I like to consider it as a form of societal participation. It’s my way to make this place a bit better. A blog is a great way to do it.
